Ceremonial-Grade Japanese Matcha Powder

Ichigen no Shiro is a distinguished ceremonial-grade matcha produced by Marukyu Koyamaen, one of Japan's most esteemed tea manufacturers based in Uji, Kyoto. This matcha is favoured by Kobori Sojitsu, the 13th generation grand tea master of the Enshuryu school, reflecting its esteemed status in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies.

Flavour Profile

Ichigen no Shiro offers a full-bodied and bold flavour, yet remains smooth and creamy, with soft and sweet notes. It is notably free from astringent or bitter tones, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a rich yet gentle matcha experience. The velvety soft aroma lingers pleasantly, enhancing the overall tasting experience.

Aroma

The matcha emits a velvety soft aroma that stays with you long after tasting, contributing to a memorable and refined tea experience.

Texture & Preparation

Finely stone-ground to a silky consistency, Ichigen no Shiro whisks effortlessly into a frothy, vibrant green tea. Its smooth texture and balanced flavour make it suitable for both usucha (thin tea) and koicha (thick tea) preparations, catering to a range of preferences and ceremonial requirements.
