Marukyu Koyamaen Matcha – Tomotake 100g Culinary Japanese Matcha Powder

Tomotake is a culinary-grade matcha introduced in 2024 by Marukyu Koyamaen, a prestigious tea producer from Uji, Kyoto, with a legacy dating back to 1704. Positioned just below their renowned Wakatake grade, Tomotake offers a harmonious balance of moderate astringency and minimal bitterness, making it an excellent choice for various culinary applications.

Key Features:

  • Versatile Culinary Use: Ideal for lattes, baked goods, and confections, Tomotake's flavour profile enhances both sweet and savoury dishes without overpowering them.
  • Balanced Flavour Profile: Offers a moderate astringency with minimal bitterness, allowing the authentic green tea flavour to shine through in your creations.
  • Vibrant Colour: While slightly lighter in hue compared to higher-grade matcha, Tomotake still imparts a beautiful green colour to your dishes.
  • High-Temperature Stability: Designed to withstand high-temperature baking, ensuring the matcha's flavour and colour remain intact during cooking.
  • Authentic Japanese Origin: Sourced from Uji, Kyoto, a region renowned for producing some of Japan's finest matcha.

Usage Recommendations:

  • Beverages: Perfect for matcha lattes, smoothies, and other green tea-infused drinks.
