Marukyu Koyamaen Matcha - Tama no Shiro Ceremonial Japanese Matcha Powder
Tama no Shiro is a distinguished ceremonial-grade matcha produced by Marukyu Koyamaen, one of Japan's most esteemed tea manufacturers based in Uji, Kyoto. This matcha is favoured by Hounsai, the 15th generation grand tea master of the Urasenke school, reflecting its esteemed status in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies.
Flavour Profile
Tama no Shiro offers a harmonious blend of rich umami and delicate sweetness, accompanied by a teasing tartness and a discreet background bitterness that subtly enhances its character.
Aroma
The matcha emits a fresh and pleasant aroma, which, upon whisking, transforms into a more pronounced fragrance with hints of fresh grass and a touch of nuttiness.

Finely stone-ground to a silky consistency, Tama no Shiro whisks effortlessly into a frothy, vibrant green tea. Its smooth texture and balanced flavour make it suitable for both usucha (thin tea) and koicha (thick tea) preparations, catering to a range of preferences and ceremonial requirements.
